Public Policy
Public administrators are responsible for producing and managing public policy. Topics that concern the general public are vast. My first artifact is a case study that touches on the policy concerning Medicare and how the United States ought to consider a total reconstruction of the distribution of services. The second artifact is also a case study that speaks on the administration of a system of school programming. This memo details the major policy drawbacks children faced during the D.A.R.E program era.
Analysis and Critical Thinking
Strong critical-thinking skills can aid in foreseeing the needs and conceivable issues of numerous circumstances. The first artifact is a memo that dives deep into prison overcrowding and all of its operational parts that contribute to this vile policy failure. Building more prisons is not a long-term solution to overcrowding. The second artifact synthesizes the pros and cons of the Department of Education. In order to develop new solutions that endorse better school policies. Understanding the cause of the problem and providing innovative solutions was the focal point.
Public Service Perspective
Transparency, accountability, and clear communication provide the opportunity to become a steward of public policy and contribute to the improvements that are paramount to quality of life. The public service perspective provides insight into government and non-governmental organizations that explains why individuals have a desire to serve the public interest. The first artifact is a memo that identifies the importance of connecting the community to local resources and support. The second artifact identifies the opposite, it entails what happens when an individual is disconnected from local resources and support, to draw a clear line through the public policy perspective regarding transparency, accountability, and clear communication.

Communication within the system of public administration is considered an essential element for achieving effective tools for implementing public policies." The longer wrongdoing or unethical activity persists within the public sector, the more difficult it becomes to acknowledge it."
